Bredesen Protocol to Reverse Alzheimer’s Dementia
Dr Dale Bredesen says you can reverse Alzheimer’s Dementia. In 2014 Dr Bredesen published his first cases showing a reversal of cognitive decline in 9 out of 10 of his cases (Bredesen, 2014). Dr Bredesen has since published 2 other papers following up on these earlier cases and also including 100 new cases studies also showing improvements – ‘reversal’ in their cognitive abilities (Bredesen, 2016; Bredesen et al 2018).
After a long wait we also have the first successful clinical trial publication using the Bredesen Protocol (Toups et al Bredesen, 2022) were they saw cognitive assessment improvements in 21 of the 25 patients (84%).
What do You Need to do to Reverse the Progression of Alzheimer's Dementia
We have to be careful when using the term ‘Bredesen Protocol’ as this is a trademarked term incorporated with the commercialization of the protocol by Apollo Health, a USA based company. Please click here to understand the exact requirements to be considered to be officially undertaking THE Bredesen Protocol. Dr Bredesen has decided it was important to team up with an ethical company to be able to bring his work to as many people as possible. The terms ‘ReCODE’ and ‘PreCODE’ are also terms that have very specific meaning that are explained in the above link too.
The Bredesen Protocol is a comprehensive, individualized program designed to prevent or reverse the various stages of cognitive decline in Alzheimer’s Disease (AZD) known as subjective cognitive impairment (SCI), mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early Alzheimer’s Disease (AZD).

Alzheimer's Dementia & the Bredesen Protocol
While we may get a bit slower as we age both mentally and physically I don’t think this has to be the case. Alzheimer’s is a form of dementia. It is the most common form accounting for up to 70% of all dementia (Dementia Australia, 2018a).
Reversing Cognitive Decline Programs using the Bredesen Protocol
Reversing cognitive decline requires a multifaceted approach aimed at assessing your health and addressing various lifestyle, nutritional, emotional and biochemical factors.
Alzheimer's Dementia - Just Bad Luck?
Alzheimer’s Dementia and other cognitive disorders are often thought to be just bad luck, something we can’t control – if only we had better genes.
